Manchester's foremost literature night

This is RE:Verberate

RE:Verberate is a literature events and development organisation working on a non-profit basis to provide a platform for new and experienced writers from diverse backgrounds to perform, workshop, learn and network in the vibrant city of Manchester.

Based in Manchester, we also actively encourage and promote work through new technology and tools such as podcasts, online opportunities and e-shops.

We received funding from the Arts Council England for the first series of literature events from 2007-2008 at Trof Café and Manchester Central Library, which proved a great success and won a place in the hearts of the Northern arts community. RE:Verberate has since grown and streamlined the number of performances under a 'fewer, bigger, better' policy, with large scale successful events such as 'How Many Poets Does it Take to Change a Light Bulb?'

RE:Verberate’s future is set to be bright, being an active participant in the social network of the arts both online and with quarterly performances, large-scale events and wesbite resources development planned in 2009.

Who is behind RE:Verberate?

RE:Verberate was formed by founder members Catherine Davies and Adam Irving, who met at The Writing School, Manchester Metropolitan University when completing the MA in Creative Writing, and soon became involved in music and literature events across the North.

Catherine, a writer and comedian working in television, and Irving, a musician and writer, joined forces and revamped the format. Adding music into the mix, exercising an excellent branding and marketing strategy, and removing any possible stuffiness, they created a distinctive and successful organization.

Now run solely by Catherine as Irving concentrates on his latest band I am Three and developing the independent label, Mitten Records, the flag is still definitely flying for RE:Verberate with new venues, online networks and upcoming workshops.

Details of our special events and workshops to be announced right here on the RE:Verberate website.
